Since the development of the bandage industry in the fifties and sixties of the last century, it has made great progress and has been used in various industries. However, how much do you know about strapping?
Next, let's introduce to you the classification of commonly used straps.
Classification of commonly used straps:
1. Polypropylene strapping: is the cheapest binding material, it is generally used for light load binding, bundling and sealing cartons.
Polypropylene straps have high elongation and recovery, but they are not as good as other plastic straps in terms of continuous tension.
2. Steel strapping: generally used to transport very heavy loads as a whole or to fix loads in train carriages, trailers, or ocean-going freighters, rarely for shrinking loads that sink or shift after bundling, but can firmly bind compressed loads and are often used in the binding of rigid loads.
3. Polyester straps: the plastic straps have the highest strength and the highest continuous tension.
Polyester straps are an excellent binding material for rigid loads that require binding tension to be maintained during loading, unloading, transportation and storage.
It is usually used in situations where high tensile strength, high continuous tension and elongation are required, and in many cases, its performance is similar to that of lightweight steel straps.
4. Nylon straps: with high continuous tension, generally used for heavy goods and can withstand high initial tension shrinkage load, its elongation and recovery rate is larger than polyester or polypropylene straps, is the most expensive plastic straps.
